Use this for audio.Unzip to a folder.Run installer.if it errors use Device Manager.

RIGHT CLICK MY COMPUTER>MANAGE>DEVICE MANAGER

From Device Manager,right click "Audio Device on HD",choose Update driver,

No to connect,

Install from a list or specific location,

Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,

For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'

Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".

Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".

Ignore XP when it complains.
Reboot.

NOTES FROM SLAK:

1. BATTERY
Battery cannot be recognize under XP, this is an unresolved issue, you also need to disable "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" from Device Manager or else your CPU will keep a 20 - 25% loading at all time. No XP Quickset driver for any HM55/57 chipset laptop from Dell. Only AHCI driver needed slipstream, others can install after the OS installation.

Need to mention here is this N4010 model comes with different graphics:

Compaq V2000 AUDIO driver PLUS MS-UAA

 Foe certain COMPAQ model such as V3000 and V2000, you need to install MS-UAA first and then install audio. NOT ALL V2000 require this patch, if you didn't try with direct driver installation you can get it here first, if that driver didn't work then use this driver.

Ok, here is my suggestion for drivers, test it and report which works and which not, the main problems is with the audio which is Conexant High-Definition Audio Driver, anyway hope this drivers works and report the progress.

Addidtional Notes:

Why there are no official driver release for windows 7 for this model?
It is become the HP/Compaq way to tell user what OS you should use with the model you have, so if there are only driver officially for Xp release mean your laptop only can be use with windows XP. However the not directly prohibit you to use other OS, but you will need to contatct them for technical issues such as compatible driver and other setting.

How do I get this driver?
Normally i use to test it on one of the model similar to this model, example this model is C738TU, so i just need to find another laptop with similar specs say C740TU, compare them, do some research and came out with suggestion.

If it doesn't work?
To upgrade the OS driver is the main problem, there are many method to get the right driver and i cannot write all here, just imagine thousand of model multiply by 10 methods for example, so just leave yourt comment and i'll try to assist you step by step.
